Today was a bit if a blur - after having only about 3 hours sleep in the last 24, we soldiered on and decided to go on a river boat trip - we had no more energy available and other than sitting down for dinner later, we were about cooked.  Janette being completely water phobic had to catapult across the hotel jetty onto one of those long boats that seem to have lorry engine strapped to the back with a long propeller that would kill anybody within feet of it.

Having got her on, keeping her on was then becoming a challenge and the constant groaning coming from the wee Scot was only drowned out by the 120db of noise coming from the engine.
"oh my god...oh my god..oh my god was all that could be herd as the boat wallowed around in the wake and wash of other boats....Janette's new battle cry.

We are staying in the Chakrabongse villas, A nice little number that travel planner Janette had found. On the bank of the river "Chao Praya" river and with only 3 villas in the whole hotel and part of the Royal Palace complex, we are assured excellent views and virtually everything to ourselves.
