The start of the trip
So the second trip "a quatre" begins...it seems quite incredible now that after well over 3 years of talking about it, we are actually going. Poor old Paul and Mandy have had to wait for 10 days or so on a sumptuous paradise island in Thailand and only able to take pictures of the beach, sunsets and their feet to pass the time. The need is great for us to rescue them from this miserable existence which would ultimately lead to them turning into cabbages (Thai ones).
Unbelievably, we are really lucky as we are flying on the A380 although (Malaysian airlines !!). I am sure we will probably not be on one again so we are savoring every moment.
So we spent the next 13 hours drinking champagne and clinging desperately to an emergency locator beacon.
Night came and went and we transited Kuala Lumpa with a 60 minute race across the across the airport as the temperature had moved from 2 degrees at Heathrow to 37 degrees in KL
We finally land at Bangkok around 11.00 and after a taxi ride to our hotel we finally meet up with the rest of the Team who had checked in an hour before, All we had to do now is stay away for a further 8 hours !!!
We are now 7 hours behind UK
